System Meltdown

This week was a VERY long week. I shot an event at Christie’s on Monday, which was quickly followed by computer failure. Couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Trying to process RAW images was taking minutes, upon hours. No, I wasn’t using a Mac. Gasp! How could I not?

Well, hello new computer! 🙂 My old computer, a Sony Vaio, really was great while it lasted, which has been since I got in 2003. But what a difference! Everything is SO much faster now. So far so good, I’m pleased.

Looking forward to a much more efficient workflow…now to decide what photo software I should use with it. PhotoShop CS4 is a given, but I’m curious about Aperture 2.

Anyway, enough of that. Looking forward to some Halloween fun soon! Must prep my costume as I didn’t end up having time this weekend with the computer catastrophe.

Carved my pumpkin yesterday 🙂 Apologies for the poor photo quality, snapped this with my phone:

This coming Saturday is shoot day in my FIT fashion photography class so I’ll have some new photos soon!
