Okay, okay, NOT the most clever title I could have come up with. It’s hard being creative ALL the time, you know?
Anyway, to share with you today, via Cool Hunting I came across the work of San Francisco-based photographer Dwight Eschliman. In a simply photographed but interesting series featured in his book, 37 or so Ingredients, Eschliman breaks down the Hostess company’s iconic cream-filled spongecake, the Twinkie.
Each ingredient is photographed, and there are no less than 37, from sugar to Riboflavin and everything in-between. Certainly interesting to actually see what components go into the making of such a seemingly simple treat. I can’t say I’m terribly surprised by the long list of ingredients either.
Generally I try to be fairly healthy but even I don’t always check the ingredient list on packaged goods. A good reminder to be more aware.
