Tornado Watch

The weather has been a bit unusual lately, with extreme flooding and tornadoes touching down more frequently, especially in the South and Midwest. Most recently you may have heard about the tornado that went through Joplin, Missouri on Sunday, destroying about 75% of the city. This is only about an hour or so away from my hometown in Kansas, so I wanted to show my support in light of the devastation the people in Joplin are facing. Some of my family members still living in Kansas have gone to help out as there is a great need aid. For information you can check out the Joplin Tornado Info Facebook page as well as a shared Google Docs spreadsheet with Joplin Relief Dropoff locations.

Check out Time.com‘s coverage of the damage and relief efforts. Hopefully everyone can pull through this.
