I came across the What I Eat project through Time.com‘s photo gallery.
Photographer Peter Menzel worked with writer Faith D’Aluisio documenting portraits of individuals and the food they ate in one day, all around the world. Their book, What I Eat: Around the World in 80 Diets, features 80 individuals out of the 100 or so that they photographed and interviewed and includes the portraits along with a complete calorie count.
It’s a unique look at different cultures and people and helps to shape an idea about how people live in different parts of the world.
