Friday Photo Inspiration | Blurring the Lines, Paris

Photo © Brandie Raasch

This is what I like to call a “happy accident.” I had intended to take an in-focus photo of a girl while shooting street style, but my camera started acting a little weird and wouldn’t auto-focus and I ended up with the above. Of course I took additional shots that actually were in-focus by just manually focusing, but I sort of like how this turned out. It has a kind of painterly quality to me that is more interesting I think than the in-focus shot.

What do you think? Do you like imperfections such as this or prefer shots that are always perfectly clean?

Bon week-end!
